BELGOROD, August 16 Ukrainian troops shelled Shebekino twice, a civilian was wounded by shrapnel, the governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov said in his Telegram channel .
«The city of Shebekino was shelled twice by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. One civilian was wounded. A man with a shrapnel wound to his shoulder independently went to the Shebekino central regional hospital. The victim is receiving all the necessary medical care,» Gladkov wrote.
The governor added that the glazing in one of the apartment buildings was damaged. In two private houses, windows were broken, facades and fences were cut. Three cars were also damaged.
The Shebekinsky urban district of the Belgorod region borders the Kharkov region of Ukraine and is subject to shelling almost every day. Shebekino is located approximately four kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
