
MOSCOW, August 15 During a telephone conversation, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev touched upon key issues of dynamically developing bilateral cooperation, the Kremlin press service reported.
«At the initiative of the Uzbek side, a telephone conversation took place between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Key issues of dynamically developing bilateral cooperation in various fields were touched upon,» the report said.
«Current topics of the international and regional agenda were also discussed, including taking into account the current chairmanship of the Russian Federation in the BRICS association,» the statement said.
Mirziyoyev's press service, in turn, noted that the presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia discussed the progress of implementing the agreements reached during Putin's state visit to Uzbekistan on May 26-28.
«Special attention was paid to the issues of taking coordinated measures to increase trade turnover, developing cooperation ties between leading enterprises and regions of the two countries, implementing joint investment projects and humanitarian programs,» the statement said.
During the conversation, the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events was also discussed, the press service of the Uzbek leader added. -0-.
