MOSCOW, August 16 After the disappearance of a pensioner in the Kursk region, who was abused by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two criminal cases were opened, reported to the GVSU SK.
«The Main Military Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case on the basis of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code («Rehabilitation of Nazism»),» the department said.
On Thursday, a video was widely distributed on Telegram channels, showing Ukrainian Armed Forces militants torturing an elderly man in the Kursk border area. They put on helmets with SS symbols and, imitating a German accent, insulted the pensioner, in particular, calling him a «Russian pig». At the same time, Ukrainians filmed what was happening on video.
In addition, the department reported that the identity of the elderly man who was abused by the Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen was established during the preliminary investigation. His relatives were questioned and reported that they did not know where he was since August 6.

«In connection with the man's unknown absence, a criminal case was opened on the grounds of a crime under Article 105 of the Criminal Code («Murder»), which was combined into one proceeding with the previously opened criminal case,» the Investigative Committee added.
Today, the head of the Sudzhansky District, Alexander Bogachev, reported that the elderly man in the video is Alexander Stepanovich Grigoriev. According to Bogachev, the video was filmed in the village of Zaoleshenka in the Sudzhansky District, almost in the suburbs of Sudzha. He specified that all services and volunteers have been notified of the disappearance, and everyone is searching as best they can.
