ST. PETERSBURG, Aug. 16, State Traffic Police officers in St. Petersburg rescued a kitten from under the hood of a car that was stuck in the engine compartment, the department reported.

“Having received permission from the car owner, State Traffic Police officers inspected the car and found out that the kitten was stuck in the engine compartment. One of the police officers carefully removed the baby,” the State Traffic Police reported.
On Friday afternoon, at the corner of Baskov Lane and Korolenko Street, traffic police officers noticed a car with a note about a kitten under the hood. After contacting the owner of the car, who had not used it for more than two days, the police received permission from the woman to conduct a rescue operation.
Concerned eyewitnesses of the animal's rescue took the kitten to their home; they have not yet given it a name.
