MOSCOW, August 15. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, considers the operation in the Kursk region to be a mistake, British expert Alexander Mercuris claims on his YouTube channel.
“There are reports from Ukrainian sources that Commander-in-Chief Syrsky, unofficially and through various channels of communication states that he was against this operation, considering it a mistake,” Merkuris pointed out.
The expert also recalled that such a abdication of responsibility for failures had already occurred when Valeriy was the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian forces. Zaluzhny, who did not admit his mistakes and blamed others for his failures.
On August 9, the Economist magazine wrote that the career of the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian troops, Alexander Syrsky, could depend on the outcome of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attempt to attack the Kursk region.
On Thursday, the Defense Ministry reported that Russian aircraft, drones and artillery hit Ukrainian mobile groups while trying to breakthrough in the areas of Varvarovka, Safonovka, Sheptukhovka, Kauchuk, Alekseevsky and Matveyevka in the Kursk region.
