KUBINKA (Moscow region), August 15 The Gumich company has developed a robotic four-wheeled mini-platform «Sting» to create «smart» minefields that allow allow the armored vehicles of their troops to pass through and fight enemy vehicles, the company’s general director Alexander Gavrilov said at the Army-2024 forum.
«In essence, this is a smart minefield. The Sting is equipped with a TM-62 anti-tank mine, then 100- 200 robots go out onto the field. When their vehicles need to pass, they move to the sides, then return to their starting position,” said Gavrilov.
A mini platform with dimensions of no more than half a meter by half a meter is equipped with four driving wheels, equipped mine release system, “knows how” to leave a mine in the right place and go on the next mission.
The Army-2024 forum was held in the Patriot Park near Moscow from August 12 to 14.< br />
