The Primorsky vice-governor went to the Kursk region to participate in the battles

MOSCOW, August 17 The Vice-Governor of Primorsky Krai, Sergei Efremov, will take part in battles with the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kursk Oblast, the head of the region, Oleg Kozhemyako, said.
«The fighters of the Tiger detachment, who have already returned from the front lines, have decided to go to Kursk Oblast to help liberate Russian territories from the Nazis,» the governor of the region wrote on Telegram.

As Kozhemyako specified, the unit is headed by the Vice-Governor of the region, Sergei Efremov. The head of Primorye expressed confidence that the military will valiantly complete their tasks and return home.

Ukrainian units launched an offensive on the morning of August 6 to seize territory in the Kursk region, their advance was stopped, said Chief of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov. He stressed that the operation in the region would be completed by defeating the enemy and reaching the state border. As the Defense Ministry reported on August 16, during the fighting in the Kursk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 2,860 soldiers and 41 tanks.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Kiev regime had carried out a provocation and was firing indiscriminately, including at civilian targets. The head of state stressed that the enemy would receive a worthy response, and all of Russia's goals would be achieved.
