BELGOROD, August 18 Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on the Russia 24 TV channel that the losses of the agricultural sector from shelling from Ukraine will be assessed in the fall, and will seek help from the federal authorities.
As the governor said earlier, the region has already received federal aid to compensate for the damage suffered by agricultural enterprises in the region as a result of the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which allowed for payments to be made in full. However, the damage continues to grow, since the shelling of the region continues, the fields are burning, and in some it was not possible to begin harvesting.
«At the end of the agricultural year, at the end, that is, October-November, we will collect all the losses. And I will again go for federal aid. That is, we have such a plan. And either at the end of the year or the beginning of next year, I am sure that, having received the aid, we will distribute it to our farmers,» Gladkov emphasized.
According to the information of the head of the region, during the sowing campaign in the Belgorod region it was planned to sow almost 300 thousand hectares with spring crops, and almost 530 thousand hectares with industrial crops.
