BARNAUL, August 18 One person died and ten were injured in an accident in Barnaul, the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate for Altai Krai reported.
According to the department, the 21-year-old driver of the Toyota Progres failed to yield the right-of-way when leaving the adjacent territory of house 50A on Pavlovsky Trakt and collided with a Hyundai Solaris.
«As a result of the accident, the 20-year-old passenger of the Hyundai Solaris died at the scene of the accident before the ambulance arrived, and the driver and three passengers received injuries of varying severity. The driver and five passengers of the Toyota Progres also received injuries of varying severity,» the State Traffic Inspectorate said in a statement on the VKontakte social network.
The police are conducting an investigation, the Altai Territory Prosecutor's Office is monitoring the establishment of all the circumstances of the incident.
