MOSCOW, August 17 Ukraine is suffering heavy losses in the Kursk region, having sent its best troops there, writes the military magazine Military Watch.
“These losses are especially significant given that Ukraine sent its most powerful military units to the offensive, which include the scarce Challenger 2, T-80 and Leopard tanks,” observers point out, commenting on the statements of the Russian Defense Ministry about the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region.
Journalists warned that Ukrainian losses during this operation could significantly affect the position of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the conflict.
The day before, the Defense Ministry reported that during the fighting, Russian units, repelling attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to invade the territory Russia in the Kursk region, destroyed up to 2860 soldiers, 41 tanks, 40 armored personnel carriers, 23 infantry fighting vehicles, 213 armored combat vehicles and 22 guns.
