TASS: US coalition F/A-18 aircraft comes dangerously close to Russian Aerospace Forces An-30 in Syria
The Center for the Use of Opposing Sides in Syria reported a dangerous approach of an F/A-18 fighter jet of the international coalition led by the United States with an An-30 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces. In total, over the past day, according to the deputy head of the center, Captain 1st Rank Oleg Ignasyuk, 18 violations by coalition aircraft were recorded in the Et-Tanf area.
Ignasyuk noted that when approaching the coalition fighter, the crew of the Russian aircraft prevented a collision. The An-30 was making a scheduled flight in Syrian airspace.
He also added that in total, over the course of the day, three pairs of F-15 fighters, a pair of Typhoon fighters, two pairs of F/A-18 fighter-bombers and three pairs of A-10 attack aircraft violated Syrian airspace 18 times.
