MOSCOW, 12 Jan. Swede Elvira Eberg won the sprint race at the Cup stage Biathlon World Championship in Ruhpolding, Germany. Eberg covered 7.5 km in 19 minutes 45.2 seconds, making no misses on two firing lines. The second place went to the Norwegian Marthe Olsbu-Roiseland (+21.6 seconds; no miss), the top three Italian Dorothea Wierer (+29.7; no miss) took the top three, Svetlana Mironova became the best of the Russians (+50.9, no miss) with the eighth result. Other results of the Russians: 18. Valeria Vasnetsova (+1.19.9; no misses), 20. Kristina Reztsova (+1.21.1; two penalties), 35. Irina Kazakevich (+1.43.3; one miss) , 49.
