People's Artist of Russia Anastasia Voznesenskaya has died at the age of 79. This is reported by the press service of the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre.

Voznesenskaya studied at the Moscow Art Theater School, then began to play at the Sovremennik Theater, and then moved to the Moscow Art Theater named after Chekhov. Among her most famous roles is Maria Shamraeva in the play «The Seagull».
Voznesenskaya also appeared on the screens. So, she played the director of the market Alla Kushakova in the film Garage by Eldar Ryazanov and the main role in the film Major Whirlwind.
Anastasia Voznesenskaya was married to actor Andrei Myagkov, who died last February.
“Their love story was more important than any creative achievement. Together they studied, worked together at Sovremennik, moved together to the Moscow Art Theater, left the stage together when their health began to fail. For the past decade, they have lived in isolation, devoting themselves to caring for each other. Less than a year ago, we saw Andrei Vasilyevich off on his last journey. Now they are together again … ”, — noted in the theater.
