According to channel sources, the CIA has found convincing and plausible explanations for the disease in such a way called «Havana syndrome» in hundreds of cases. What exactly explanations were found for unusual ailments in the CIA, however, is not specified. The agency has failed to exclude versions of foreign interference in about two dozen cases since 2016, and another group of incidents is considered unsolved. The version of the ailments of American diplomats and spies as a result of the actions of Russia or any other states to cause harm or obtain information was considered unfounded, the sources added. />»Havana syndrome» found US diplomats in EuropeHowever, as the channel notes, some, including those affected by the «Havana syndrome», expressed disappointment with the CIA assessment, calling it «internal» without coordination with other departments, sources say. Manifestations of «Havana syndrome» (dizziness, nausea, headaches and hearing problems) were observed among US diplomats in Cuba in 2016 and 2017, and in China in 2018. Diplomats were allegedly exposed to sound effects, which resulted in long-term health effects. In addition, the US media reported that more than 20 cases of ailments similar to the «Havana syndrome» were recorded among American diplomats, intelligence officers and other civil servants in Vienna since the beginning of the term of US President Joe Biden. Cases of ailments similar to «Havana syndrome» , also, according to media reports, were recorded by American representatives in Africa, Tajikistan and Moscow. One of the last known cases of unexplained ailments was reported by a member of the team of US CIA Director Bill Burns during a trip to India. In total, according to the head of the CIA, several hundred American diplomats, intelligence officers and the military were injured in all incidents, as CNN reported, about a hundred of them were CIA employees. Recently, the American media reported that the symptoms of the so-called «Havana syndrome» , showed up among employees of American diplomatic missions in Geneva and Paris, one employee needed evacuation to the United States for treatment. Moscow has denied any involvement in the «Havana syndrome» in the past.
