MOSCOW, Jan 28 The Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) has changed the dates the calculation of disqualification for anti-doping rule violations of Andrey Markov, the world champion who ended his career as part of the Russian national hockey team, is reported on the organization’s official website. Initially, Markov’s one and a half year suspension for failure to provide information about his whereabouts was counted from June 29, 2021. The athlete filed an appeal, based on the results of which the National Center for Sports Arbitration decided to consider the beginning of disqualification on July 1, 2020. Thus, Markov's period of disqualification expired on January 1, 2022. «The National Center for Sports Arbitration decided to satisfy the athlete's requirements regarding the calculation of the period of disqualification. The athlete was denied other requirements,» the message says.
