Now the Spanish Parliament must approve the project on «digital nomads» — digital nomad visa. It is expected that this will happen in the next few months.
If it is accepted, then foreigners from all countries will be able to come to Spain for 12 months. They will not need to apply for a residence permit — only a special visa.
«According to a start-up in Spain, foreigners will be able to live and work in the country from 6 to 12 months without needing an official work visa, provided that that they earn at least 80% of their income working for non-Spanish companies,” the message says.
