The Moskovsky District Court of Kaliningrad exacted 500 thousand rubles in compensation in favor of the son of 36-year-old Ivan Vshivkov, who was scalded with boiling water in the police department. This was reported by the press service of the court.
The widow of a Kaliningrader applied to the court demanding compensation for moral damage to her minor son. In December 2021, the court recovered 2 million rubles in favor of the relatives of the deceased — his wife, parents and daughter.
In 2021, the court sentenced ex-policemen Nikolai Plebukh and Alexander Ivanov to two and 2.5 years in prison in the case about the death of Vshivkov. They were found guilty of negligence (Article 293 of the Criminal Code).

Ivanov explained that he did not help the detainee because of “professional deformation”: “For many years we have seen a lot and, unfortunately, are subject to professional deformation. We sometimes have such a circus, sometimes they howl like that.»
