There are several key signs that can indicate breast cancer. Professor Kliona Kirwan explains:
«Examine your breasts for pits and distortions in the skin. Put your hands on your hips and press down to contract the muscles and make sure it doesn't dimple your chest. Also raise your arms above your head and make sure your chest curves look normal and your nipples look like they always have and don't stretch out« .
One of the key signs to look for when examining the breast is thickening of breast tissue anywhere in the breast, upper chest, and armpits.
Breast cancer prevention recognizes the following signs and symptoms:
- A noticeable lump in the chest or armpit;
- Dimples or curvature of the skin;
- Swelling of all or part of the chest;< /li>
- Deformity;
- Redness;
- Skin irritation or change in texture;
- Bleeding from the nipple.
