In connection with the special relationship that has developed between the federal government and the head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, in view of the numerous personal threats thrown in recent days by prominent representatives Chechen Republic to Elena Milashina, a columnist for Novaya Gazeta, the editors have decided to send Elena Milashina outside the Russian Federation.
Elena follows the security protocols approved by the editors. Its location will not affect the coverage of human rights in Chechnya.
