World and European champions Anastasia Mishina/Alexander Gallyamov, silver medalists of the 2018 Olympics in the team tournament Evgenia Tarasova/Vladimir Morozov and European champions 2020 Alexandra Boikova/Dmitry Kozlovsky took to the ice at 19:05 local time. All three pairs performed short programs and skated without mistakes. The team Olympic figure skating tournament started in Beijing the day before. The Russian team takes second place after the first day, two points behind the Americans.
