December 28, Andrey Denisov, head of the legal service of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Orenburg region, brought gifts to the judges of the Central Court of Orenburg, who are considering Viktor Filinkov's complaints about numerous penalties in the colony. His lawyer Vitaly Cherkasov told Novaya Gazeta about this.
«This is a concentration camp, Zhenya.» In the colony, Viktor Filinkov almost never leaves the ShIZO and solitary confinement, and his letters are stolen and forged
The publication clarifies that the defense has already filed 13 lawsuits against colony No. 1. Filinkov was transferred to this colony in August 2021. Six months have passed since then, five of which he spent in solitary confinement due to penalties. Cases on Filinkov's claims are considered by judges Marina Grechishnikova and Raisa Chuvashaeva. They've already denied him several claims. Grechishnikova partially satisfied one claim.
Filinkov's lawyer Cherkasov told Novaya Gazeta that on December 28 Denisov, an employee of the Federal Penitentiary Service, delivered gift packages to the judges' offices. Cherkasov filmed this on video, turned to the leadership of the local UFSIN and asked for an inspection «for a corruption component.»
Lieutenant Colonel Denisov said that he “came into the offices with gift bags” and “in accordance with the job description at that time represented the interests of the Federal Penitentiary Service.” He added that the packages contained calendars for 2022, writes Novaya Gazeta.
In 2020, a court in St. Petersburg sentenced Filinkov to seven years in a strict regime colony in the case of «Networks». He was found guilty of participating in a terrorist community (Part 2 of Article 204.5 of the Criminal Code). Filinkov was one of the first defendants in the «Penza case», who spoke about torture by FSB operatives.
