World champions in pair skating Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov fell from the support at the end of the free program as part of the team tournament of the Olympic Games in Beijing. A few seconds before the end of the free program, Gallyamov stumbled and fell at the exit from the support, dropping his partner on the ice. The skaters managed to get up and finish the skate in the final position. The athletes, despite the fall, received the best marks in the free program and strengthened the leadership of the Russian team in the team tournament, until the end of which there were two disciplines left — free dance and free program in women's single skating.
