Scholz added, that Germany will act in unison with its allies, especially the United States, when the situation around Ukraine escalates. «There will be no difference in such a situation,» he said. US President Joe Biden had earlier threatened to stop Nord Stream 2 in the event of a Russian attack on Ukraine. Standing next to him at a press conference at the White House, Scholz did not say the name of the gas pipeline. He did the same on CNN, despite the efforts of the interviewer.
