Russian snowboarder Victor Wild won a bronze medal at the Beijing Olympics in parallel giant slalom. The Games were broadcast by the Match-TV channel.
Wild brought the Russian team the eighth award at the Olympics.

During the race, Wild fought against Italian snowboarder Roland Fischnaller. In the semi-finals, the Russian lost to an athlete from Slovenia, Tim Mastnyak, and lost 0.48 seconds to him.
Wild is a two-time Olympic champion of the Sochi Olympics. Previously, he announced plans to end his career, but still went to the Olympic Games.
