President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris noted suggested hosting the summit in the US due to «a focus on expanding and deepening economic ties in the region.» The US is going to work «closely» with Thailand, host of the 2022 APEC summit, and with Peru, which will host the summit in 2024.
