MOSCOW, February 10 Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said he had discussed with the British Foreign Minister Liz Truss stressed that Moscow does not understand the West's concern about the exercises and the deployment of Russian troops on its own territory. The response forces of the Union State are being tested on the territory of Belarus. At the first stage (until February 9), it was planned to redeploy and create groupings of troops on the territory of Belarus. At the second stage (from February 10 to 20), the joint Belarusian-Russian exercises «Allied Resolve-2022» will be held, within which issues of suppressing and repelling external aggression, as well as countering terrorism and protecting the interests of the Union State will be worked out. Representatives of Russia and Belarus have repeatedly stated that the maneuvers are defensive and do not threaten anyone. «We also talked about our relations with the Republic of Belarus, including the preparation and conduct of those exercises that are literally starting these days and that cause concern in London and the West, as well as, in fact, the situation of the deployment of Russian troops on our own territory causes incomprehensible anxiety and very sharp emotions among our British colleagues and other Western representatives,» Lavrov said at a press conference after negotiations with Truss. Previously Russian Ambassador to Minsk Boris Gryzlov said that the exercises of the Russian Federation and Belarus do not exceed the limits of troops established by international agreements. : return of «Russian gold» to Moscow
