“We have already thought ourselves, maybe the Anglo-Saxons are preparing something if they evacuate their employees [from Ukraine]. We also looked at their actions, and, probably, we will also advise non-essential personnel of our diplomatic institutions to leave home for a while,” Lavrov said.
According to Lavrov, today’s negotiations with Truss on the situation in Ukraine did not lead to significant changes. The politician said that he was disappointed with the results of the meeting, and he called the conversation with his British colleague «mute with deaf.»
At the same time, Lavrov called today's meeting with Truss «unprecedented.» The meeting of the foreign ministers of Russia and Great Britain in Moscow took place on the eve of the talks between the defense ministers of the two countries. The Russian Foreign Minister also noted that the last time the foreign ministers of the two states met was in 2017, when British Prime Minister Boris Johnson held the post of foreign minister.
