But we are not going to look at how our TV channel is discriminated against, squeezed out of the local information field. Our approach is simple: both the Russian media in Germany and the German media in Russia should to have equal, non-discriminatory conditions for work. We are ready for constructive cooperation with the German side on this issue. He added that now in Germany «the demand for a high-quality alternative opinion, which is represented by Russian media broadcasting in German, is higher than ever.» On February 1, the Registration and Supervision Commission of German media regulators officially banned the broadcasting of the RT DE TV channel in Germany, stating that the broadcasters did not have the necessary permission. RT DE Productions is appealing the decision of the German regulator in court. The Russian Foreign Ministry explained that the TV channel operated on the basis of a license issued by Serbia and in full compliance with the European Convention on Transfrontier Television, to which Germany is also a party. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it was starting to implement retaliatory measures against German media accredited in Russia, as well as Internet intermediaries that arbitrarily and unreasonably deleted the accounts of the channel from their platforms. The Russian Foreign Ministry earlier said that Russia, in response to the in particular, it closes the Deutsche Welle bureau in the Russian Federation and cancels the accreditations of all employees of its Russian bureau, and also stops satellite and other broadcasting of the channel in Russia.
