The earthquake was recorded at 16.43 UTC time (19.43 Moscow time). The epicenter of the tremors was located 134 kilometers southeast of the city of Jilong in northeastern Taiwan. The outbreak lay at a depth of 40 kilometers. There was no information about possible casualties or damage.
