KALUSH Orchestra prepared song «Stefaniya»
After the disqualification of Alina Pash due to violations of the rules of the national selection, the KALUSH Orchestra group was offered to represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2022 in Turin, Italy. This decision was made at an extraordinary meeting of the organizing committee conducting the casting, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
The right to replace artists
The organizing committee noted that, according to paragraph 3.4 of the Rules, in the event of termination of the «Suspіlnim» participation in the selection of a participant determined/declared the winner of the Selection, & # 171; Suspіlne & # 187; has the right to decide on the selection of a representative from Ukraine at the competition from among other finalists.
Why Kalush Orchestra
Kalush Orchestra with the song «Stefaniya» took second place at the finals of the national selection on February 12, gaining 14 points according to the voting results, of which the maximum 8 — from viewers and 6 — from the judges.
Thus, the team was minimally inferior to Alina Pash, but due to the scandalous situation with the forgery of a certificate of the allegedly legal visit to the occupied Crimea by the singer, which is a violation of the casting rules, she eventually lost the right to perform at Eurovision.
As noted in the organizing committee, for the broadcaster «it is important to maintain the trust of the audience in the song contest», therefore «Suspіlne» invites the group that took 2nd place in the final and received the most support from the audience to represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2022, «guided by the principle of observing the rating table of the finalists of the National Selection».

So , for the reasons of the Public Broadcaster, now it is «Kalushi» has the right to go to the competition, which will be held in Italy at the Pala Olimpico arena (the semi-finals will be held on May 10 and 12, and the grand final — on May 14).
