Activists were detained at the ring road even before the start of the rally. “They read out a warning about an unauthorized event and packed it up,” said one of the detainees, Leonid Vorokhovsky.
Activist Mikhail Goronovsky said that «the rally was not planned» and «it was an informal meeting» of the participants of the «Association of Carriers of Russia».
Together with the young people, Sota correspondent Nika Samusik, who was carrying out an editorial assignment, was also detained. Judging by the video, this happened at a gas station. The footage shows several cars (one of them has a sticker “Freedom to Konovalov”) and about a dozen policemen.
