Alexander Lukashenko reacted to the address of the President of Ukraine to Belarusians.
Alexander On Sunday, February 27, Lukashenka confirmed that attacks on Ukraine were being launched from the territory of Belarus, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to the Correspondent.
He stated this during a conversation with reporters after voting in a referendum on amendments to the Constitution of the Republic.
Thus, he responded to the call of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky to the Belarusians to make the right choice in the referendum.
«In the war that is going on now, you are, alas, not on the same side with us. From your territory, the troops of the Russian Federation launch rockets into Ukraine. Our children are being killed from your territory, our houses are being destroyed, they are trying to destroy everything that has been built over decades… And all this is also a de facto referendum for you. You decide who you are. You decide who you are and how you look your children, each other, and your neighbors in the eye. And we — these are your neighbors», — said the Ukrainian leader.
In response to this, Lukashenka was indignant that the Belarusians were being advised what to do: «Who is he addressing? We have always treated Ukrainians like human beings!».
He stated that Russians and Belarusians are allegedly caught and beaten in Ukraine, and by its actions «Ukraine seems to be pushing Belarus to a special operation to protect its citizens». He also claims that on the territory of Ukraine «there is not a single Belarusian soldier».
Finally, Lukashenka admitted that Ukraine is being shelled, including from the territory of the republic.
«There were 2-3 missile attacks from the south of Belarus at the beginning of the conflict, since Kyiv deployed 3-4 missile battalions near the border», — he said and threatened that «the conflict in Ukraine — flowers, if it continues to develop, there will be berries».
As you know, the Belarusian authorities provide active support to the Russian army during its invasion of Ukraine. Columns of military equipment are attacking our country from the territory of the republic.
Recall that today the Kremlin announced that the Russian delegation is in Minsk and is ready for negotiations with Kiev. In turn, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is ready for dialogue, but only in those cities where missiles do not fly towards Ukraine.
