Massive anti-war protests took place in Belarus: 800 people were detained

The Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs considers the anti-war actions «provocations», grossly violating public order.

On Sunday, February 27, about 800 participants in protests against the war in Ukraine were detained in Belarus, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to the Correspondent.

It is noted that people were detained «for various violations of public order». At the moment, human rights activists know more than 500 names of the detainees.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, unauthorized anti-war actions are «provocations» and «grossly violate public order». A criminal case has been initiated on this fact.

In addition, the Belarusian police intend to find and punish the drivers who «illegally sounded horns», supporting the protest.
