MOSCOW, Mar 1 The Women's Tennis Association (WTA) has returned profile information Russian tennis players on the organization's website a few hours after the removal. On Monday, the organization removed from the profiles of tennis players from Russia photos and data on titles won, current rankings, prize money won and age. Tennis players are present in the WTA rankings, but there is no Russian flag opposite their names. At the moment, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova occupies the highest position in the WTA ranking among Russian tennis players — 14th place. Also in the top hundred are Veronika Kudermetova (24), Daria Kasatkina (26), Lyudmila Samsonova (32), Ekaterina Alexandrova (50), Varvara Gracheva (71) and Anna Kalinskaya (86). The IOC Executive Committee on Monday recommended that sports federations prevent before the competition of Russian and Belarusian athletes because of the situation in Ukraine. The IOC added that athletes and teams from Russia and Belarus can only participate as neutral athletes.
