MOSCOW, Mar 5 The purpose of Russia's special operation to demilitarize Ukraine is not to divide this country into part, but in ensuring guarantees of our own security, said Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.
"We want to achieve our goals, the first of which is the demilitarization of Ukraine. We want constitutional guarantees for Ukraine's neutral status,» Peskov said in an interview with Sky News Arabia.
He added that Russia does not seek to divide Ukraine. As Peskov noted, Moscow is waiting for the third round of negotiations with the Ukrainian side and hopes that Kyiv will listen to its concerns, which is necessary to stop the military operation.
