This was stated by Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President's Office.
According to him, Today, the Russian and Ukrainian delegations remain at their positions, and the agreement on controversial issues can take from several days to a week and a half. During this time, the parties should approach a peace agreement.
«As soon as the work on the agreement is completed, we will begin organizing a meeting (Putin and Zelensky, — ed.). This will happen in the coming weeks. Location doesn't matter to us. It can be any place except Russia», — Podolyak noted.
He also noted that the Ukrainian side is not yet focusing on whether Zelensky will be able to shake hands with Putin.
«After the basics of the peace treaty are developed, we will consider the appropriate model of behavior at the meeting of presidents. The handshake is the least of our worries», — he added.
