The Polish government is implementing the «anti-Putin shield», which involves ending dependence on Russian gas, oil and coal.
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference on March 18 announced the introduction of the «anti-Putin shield» and «de-Russification» economy, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to the Correspondent.
«We will deal with the de-Russification of the Polish and European economy, because today Poland is also at the forefront of all those countries that are trying to inspire others get away from dependence on Russian gas, oil and coal»,” Morawiecki emphasized.
He pointed out that Poland «de facto built a real space for gas independence this year». As an example, the prime minister mentioned the Baltic gas pipeline and the gas terminal in Swinoujscie, where, according to him, the annual LNG capacity will be increased to more than eight billion cubic meters.
Morawiecki specified that the main goal of the first part « anti-Putin shield & # 187; & nbsp; — countering inflation and supporting companies that have so far worked on the Russian market.
Also, plans to subsidize farmers due to rising prices for fertilizers, and thus reduce food prices nutrition.
«Vladimir Putin has completely broken with the normal rules of economic art. Gas blackmail, the use of raw materials as part of a psychological war, not only a psychological war, a price war and a war in Ukraine – these are actions that we must fight back on many fronts», Morawiecki said.
He is confident that in the next three years, «as soon as Poland and Europe become independent from Putin», gas prices will fall.
