Poland called on the EU to completely ban trade with Russia

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki calls for more sanctions.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki called for a complete ban on EU trade with Russia, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to European Pravda.

When asked about protests at the border against the supply of goods to Belarus and Russia and about the prospects for EU leaders to decide to close European roads for trucks from Russia, Morawiecki expressed the hope that «there will be another sobering up of European leaders» and the Council of the EU will adopt another package of sanctions.

«I am absolutely on the side of the protesters and once again I appeal to the European Commission to activate its powers as soon as possible»

«Poland proposes to add to this package of sanctions as soon as possible a trade blockade for both seaports and a ban on land trade»

According to him, such a step «will additionally make Russia think about stopping this cruel war».

As Morawiecki added, «it is a matter of life and death tens, maybe hundreds of thousands of people, we are talking about a sovereign country — Ukraine — but also about the security of NATO».

«We must demonstrate our strength and determination towards Russia, otherwise we will have to pay a big price in the near future»
