MOSCOW, Mar 22 former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Conor McGregor and an alleged rape victim, Independent.ie reports. Accusations against McGregor in December 2018 were made by an unnamed woman. The athlete was detained in January 2019, questioned by the police and released pending further results of the investigation. McGregor has not been formally charged with a crime. In a pre-trial motion, the woman's lawyers asked for documents and materials collected by the police that are relevant to the case. As required by the court, the Irish police are obliged to disclose to the prosecution any statements given to them by the suspect and witnesses. They must also provide footage or photographs from CCTV cameras, mobile phone data and the results of a toxicological or forensic examination. The investigation into the case is expected to be completed within ten weeks.
