Earlier, he said that he plans to make a corresponding proposal at the commission investigating interference in the internal affairs of the Russian Federation, one of the priority areas which will be the legislative regulation of foreign agents. «We want to make a single law in relation to foreign agents, for example, in the way (do not be shy about it), as it is done in the United States, which clearly states who foreign agents are, what they are required to provide to the supervisory authority, what consequences come for them in case of violation of certain requirements of the law and who in the country is their regulator,» he explained. the question of what measures would be envisaged in the future by a single law, the parliamentarian noted that so far we are talking about a general «concept of toughening punishment against foreign agents.» On Monday, the State Duma Council decided to include the issue of creating a commission to investigate the facts of foreign interference in domestic affairs of Russia and its composition on the agenda of the plenary meeting on March 23
