Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke with Pope Francis on March 22. He asked for help in assisting with humanitarian corridors in Ukraine.
The Pope said that he would help in the situation with the corridors, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to Channel 24.
Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk announced this on the air of one of the Ukrainian TV channels.
According to her, in addition to the International Committee of the Red Cross and the UN, in organizing the evacuation of civilians from «hot» other international representations are ready to join the points of Ukraine.

Vereshchuk emphasized.
She added that if it works, then Ukraine will be very grateful to the Pope for his personal involvement and attempts to help prevent a humanitarian catastrophe.

Pope Francis visited the Vatican pediatric hospital where 19 Ukrainian children are being treated. There are children with various diseases in the hospital. In particular, among the patients of the hospital are Ukrainian children with oncological, neurological and other ailments and those who were injured during the war.
