Maltsev and Spitsov did not qualify in the sprint at the Russian Championships

SYKTYVKAR, Mar 26 Skiers Artem Maltsev and Denis Spitsov failed to qualify freestyle sprint race at the Russian Championship in Syktyvkar. The winner of the prologue with a score of 2 minutes and 26.51 seconds was the three-time Olympic champion Alexander Bolshunov. The second result was shown by Alexander Terentiev (lag 1.55 seconds). Third place went to Gleb Retivyh (+2.99). In women, Natalya Mekryukova showed the best result in qualifying (2.52.8). The second was Natalya Nepryaeva (+0.72), the third place is Khristina Matsokina (+1.44). The top 30 athletes each qualified for the quarterfinals.
