MOSCOW, April 3 Metallurg Magnitogorsk beat Traktor Chelyabinsk in the first match of the final of the Eastern Conference of the Continental Hockey League (KHL). The meeting in Magnitogorsk ended in a strong-willed victory for the hosts with a score of 3:2 (1:1, 0:1, 2:0). The winners scored Artem Zemchenok (20th minute), Linus Hultström (42) and Arkhip Nekolenko (48). Vitaly Kravtsov (14) and Aleksey Byvaltsev (34) scored goals as part of the guests. Metallurg took the lead in the series up to four wins — 1-0. The second meeting will also be held in Magnitogorsk on April 5, two days later the series will move to Chelyabinsk. As a result of the regular season, Metallurg took first place in the Eastern Conference, Traktor — second. Before that, the teams met in the KHL playoffs once. In the 2009/10 season, Metallurg won in the first round (3-1).
