The Oktyabrsky District Court of St. Petersburg fined Anush Panina 40 thousand rubles under the article on discrediting the Russian army (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) because of anti-war posters. This was reported by the joint press service of the city courts.
Also, a Petersburger was arrested for 10 days under a protocol on organizing a massive simultaneous stay of people in public places, which caused a violation of public order (part 1 of article 20.2.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
According to the court, on the evening of April 2, Panina came to Sennaya Square with two posters, «which undermine the authority, image and confidence in the use of the Russian Armed Forces outside the country.» According to the Petersburger, her goal is “to launch a chain of questions that people need to think about,” the press release says.
According to the press service, Panina made posters on multi-colored paper “similar to announcements about prostitution in order to attract the attention of a wide range of people.
In a VK post published on the page of a Petersburger, there is a photo of her with a poster made of multi-colored sheets of paper with the inscriptions “Kira will never see dad again”, “Natasha thinks that her brother went to the exercises”, “Masha waiting for her son to go home”, “Angela lost her sleep, her husband went missing”, “Snezhana hides her brother’s funeral from her mother”. Also on the page Panina published her picture with a poster “We are naive. Why eat when you can read the news?”.
