MOSCOW, Apr 3 Russian cross-country skiing team coach Markus Kramer may continue a career in the Italian national team, a German specialist told Fondo Italia. Earlier, the head of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR), Elena Vyalbe, said that Kramer would not work in Russia next season. Sergey Kryanin, a member of the FLGR presidium, said that the departure of the German coach was due to sanctions and the inability to pay for the work of a specialist. “Would I like to coach the Italian national team? we'll talk in more detail next week or maybe two weeks later. Then we'll decide what to do,» said Kramer, whose contract with the FLGR expired at the end of the current season. Kramer has been with the Russian national team since 2015. Against the background of the situation in Ukraine, the International Ski Federation (FIS) first deprived Russia of the right to host the World Cup Final in Tyumen, and then decided not to allow athletes from Russia and Belarus to participate in competitions under the auspices of the organization. This decision was made in accordance with the recommendation of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
