MOSCOW, April 3 Short trackers Vladimir Balbekov and Ekaterina Efremenkova became the winners races at a distance of 1000 meters at the Russian Championship in Kolomna. Balbekov in the men's competition showed a time of 1 minute 24.281 seconds. Second place was taken by Alexander Shulginov (1.24.457), Sergey Milovanov closed the top three (1.24.459). In the women's race, Efremenkova covered the distance in 1 minute 29.303 seconds. The silver medalist was Anna Matveeva (1.29.416), the bronze — Elena Seregina (1.31.085). The Russian Short Track Championship was held from April 1 to 3.
