
MOSCOW, April 15 Avangard Omsk Board of Directors found the team's result unsatisfactory according to the results of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) season, according to the club’s official Telegram channel. On Friday, a meeting of the Avangard Board of Directors was held in Moscow, at which the performance of the system’s teams in the 2021/22 season was summed up. The next meeting will be held in mid-May in Omsk. Also, the work of the selection block headed by the club's general manager Alexei Volkov was recognized as unsatisfactory. Following the meeting, his headquarters was instructed to prepare a list of candidates for the position of head coach of the team, as well as a list of hockey players for potential transfers. It is noted that the board of directors of the club decided to resume the work of the transfer committee. The performance of the Avangard farm club, the team of the Higher Hockey League (VHL) Omsk Wings, which, following the results of the debut regular season, took 23rd place in the standings, was also recognized as unsatisfactory and failed to reach the playoffs. The results of the Youth Hockey League (MHL) team «Omsk Hawks» received a positive assessment, which won bronze medals in the playoffs, losing in the semifinals to the Moscow «Red Army» (2-3 in the series) .
