MOSCOW, Apr 16 Petersburg was caught on a video filmed by one of the spectators. The footage shows how the athlete enters the jump and, during the landing, hits his head hard on the ice. Semenenko tried to get up twice, but fell again. After the incident, doctors approached the skater and took him away on a stretcher. Later it became known that the athlete was taken to the hospital. Semenenko is the winner of the World Team Championship and the Russian Cup Final. Both golds were mined in the 2020/21 season. The figure skater competed at the Beijing Olympics, where he took eighth place.
