
View of Tokyo. File photoTOKYO, Apr 20 Trade between Japan and Russia in fiscal year 2021 ended March 31, 2022 increased substantially from a year earlier. In particular, the export of Japanese goods to Russia increased by 37.4%, while imports from Russia grew by 68.5%, according to the data of the Japanese Ministry of Finance. Thus, the volume of exports from Japan to Russia from April 2021 to March 2022 inclusive amounted to 872.69 billion yen (6.75 billion dollars), and the volume of imports is 1.83 trillion yen (14.15 billion dollars). Among the goods imported from Russia for fiscal year 2021, the largest increase in volumes is observed in positions such as mineral fuels (an increase of 86.2%), raw materials (an increase of 78.9%), food (an increase of 59.7%).
