"An analysis of the documents received made it possible to clearly identify the circle of people associated with military biological activities in Ukraine, including representatives of the US Department of Defense and American contractors", he said.< /p>He added that law enforcement officers are investigating a criminal case on this issue. According to Bastrykin, the Investigative Committee has established that since 2005 the amount of US funding for biological programs in Ukraine amounted to more than $224 million. The United States consistently carried out work to modernize and re-equip about three dozen scientific institutions of the Ministries of Health and Agriculture of Ukraine, as well as several sanitary and epidemiological facilities of the command of the medical forces of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. «The results of the research were taken to the territories controlled by Kyiv before the start of a special military operation,» concluded head of the Investigative Committee.
